Prof. Amélie Mainjot

Prof. Amélie Mainjot, DDS, MS, PhD, is Full Professor of Dental Biomaterials at the University of Liège, Belgium, where she also serves as Head of the Dental Biomaterials Research Unit (d-BRU), a research group she co-founded. In addition, she is Head of Clinic in the Department of Fixed Prosthodontics and Restorative Dentistry at the University Hospital of Liège, combining academic research with advanced clinical practice in esthetic and minimally invasive dentistry.

After graduating in dentistry from the University of Liège, Prof. Mainjot completed postgraduate training in Oral Rehabilitation before earning a Master of Science in Dental Materials Technology at the University of Paris. She subsequently obtained a joint PhD from the Universities of Paris and Liège and continued her academic career as a researcher and lecturer in Paris while maintaining clinical activity in Belgium.

Her research focuses on dental biomaterials, with particular emphasis on ceramics, resin composites, CAD-CAM materials, and the development of innovative, minimally invasive restorative concepts for both tooth- and implant-supported rehabilitations. Through her work, she has made significant contributions to advancing evidence-based restorative dentistry and the clinical application of modern biomaterials.

An internationally recognized lecturer, Prof. Mainjot has published extensively in peer-reviewed scientific journals and contributed to numerous book chapters on dental materials and restorative dentistry. She is also actively involved in postgraduate education, co-organizing the Esthetic and Minimally Invasive Dentistry program at the University of Liège. Beyond her academic and clinical responsibilities, she serves as Vice-President of the PROSEC network and is an active member of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED).
