Dr. PhD Luis Pereira Azevedo

Dr. Luís Pereira Azevedo graduated in Dentistry from the Portuguese Catholic University before continuing his postgraduate education at the Complutense University of Madrid, where he obtained a Master in Dental Sciences, a postgraduate qualification in Implant Prosthodontics, and completed his PhD in Dental Sciences. In parallel, he pursued advanced clinical training at the University of Geneva, earning a Master of Advanced Studies (MAS) in Reconstructive Dentistry as well as a Doctorate in Dental Medicine.

After practicing as a general dentist with a focus on prosthodontics at the S.Tiago Medical Center in Portugal, Dr. Azevedo joined the University of Geneva in 2021. His clinical, research, and teaching activities are dedicated to prosthodontics, with a particular emphasis on digital dentistry and digital treatment workflows.

Dr. Azevedo is the author of numerous peer-reviewed scientific publications and is a frequent invited speaker at international congresses and scientific meetings. His lectures focus on digital dentistry, virtual patient concepts, and implant prosthodontics.

His research activities include collaborations with leading academic institutions and industry partners on projects involving 3D digital modeling, digital workflows, and the application of artificial intelligence in dentistry.
